In March of 2009 Kane Moix visited some friends that were officers of the BYX Chapter at the University of Arkansas. After seeing the atmosphere that BYX afforded the men at Arkansas, Kane had a desire to start BYX at the University of Central Arkansas. Kane met with Blake Jacobs and together they recruited Jeremy Flynn, Kyle Boyd, Jeremy Wilson, and TJ Beringer to join them. These six men met regularly throughout the 2009 spring semester and began recruiting other men to complete the three phase prospective chapter process. By the fall of 2009, the founding fathers were meeting regularly to worship their Father. These men recognized the need for a Christian fraternity on their campus to provide college men with a place to grow in their faith and unite as believers.
The fifteen founding fathers were initiated on January 31, 2010. The University of Central Arkansas has become the Alpha Gamma chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi, making them the 27th Chapter in the BYX Family.
The Lord heard the prayers for a fraternal brotherhood united under Christ on the campus of Central Arkansas. On March 15, 2010, the Alpha Gamma Chapter was officially recognized by the University of Central Arkansas.
