Originally from Russellville, Arkansas, Ryan is a three-time graduate of the University of Arkansas with degrees in Marketing, Management, and Higher Education. During his undergraduate, he was a little too involved with the Associate Student Government, Razorback Booster Club, and the Student Alumni Board. His most rewarding experience, though, was serving as a Founding Fathers of the Xi Chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi where he served as Vice President and Pledge Captain. After graduation, Ryan worked for the Honors College and Sam M. Walton College of Business before landing his dream job with the Arkansas Alumni Association serving as Associate Director of Student and Young Alumni Outreach. During that time, he grew the Student Board to be the premier leadership organization on campus. This group of over 75 student leaders also grew membership from less than 300 to over 4000 in less than 2 years. Ryan also helped create tradition-filled programming such as the Official University of Arkansas Birthday Celebration, expanded Senior Awards program to be recognized as the top awards on campus, and grew the University’s Homecoming to include the entire campus, community, and Razorback family. For his efforts, Ryan was recognized two year in a row as one of the employees of the year for the Division of Advancement, employee of the quarter for the entire University, and District 3 Advisor of the Year for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education. Most recently, Ryan has assumed the role of the Director of the UA Little Rock Alumni Association. He looks forward to growing their alumni membership, scholarship endowment, and maybe getting a BYX chapter started in Central Arkansas.
