Will you invest in BYX at the most critical moment in our history?
Take three minutes to hear an update from Fraternity President Brian Lee on BYX in 2020.
Scroll down to read specifics about our goals this year.
BYX is more important for our members now than it has ever been.
Our members have been separated from their communities for most of the summer and spring semester. Many forced to move back home, the Brotherhood and Unity that BYX stands for will be critical in this ever-changing time.
BYX needs your help to build up our leaders this semester.
Though our retention rate has been a pleasant surprise, we are still looking at a deficit of around $250,000. This deficit is a result of reducing member dues, an overall 10% reduction in membership, and an overall 10% reduction in pledges.
With these developments in mind, our goal of $400,000 will allow us to bring back our previously canceled leadership programs to our members this year. Here is how that goal breaks down:
- $250,000 - Lost revenue from member dues due to COVID-19.
- $36,000 - National Leadership Summit (NLS)
- $75,000 - President Circle & Pledge Captain Circle
- $39,000 - Future Colony Development on new campuses looking for a brotherhood under Christ.
We still need your help this fall. Since NLS is less than a month away, the next $36,000 we receive will directly fund that event. You can learn more about our plans for NLS this year by visiting this page. Would you make a monthly commitment of $35 (approximately $1 per month in support of each of our BYX chapters) or a one-time gift to help the fraternity? Our goal is to add 100 new monthly donors and $300,000 in one-time gifts between August and December 2020.
